LOGSAC leads Duaw kay Apo Expedition

In comforming one of its objectives, the Local Government of Sta. Cruz Adventure Club (LOGSAC) led the expedition team to Mount Apo last April 27-30, 2009 via Sibulan Trail, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. LOGSAC already signified its desire to assist the municipality of Sta. Cruz in eco-tourism activities such as Mount Apo climbs, among others.

There were 70 expedition team members composed of mountaineers from Mindanao such as Tupi South Cotabato, Davao City, Digos City, Marbel, Toril and Tiboli. The climb is an advocacy climb to save and protect Mount Apo through clean up drive.

Faridah, Bryan, Papong and Jonas took head of the delegation which according to them was an overwhelming success.

Mt. Apo Post-Lenten Assault '09

On April 12-16, 2009; some guests from Alicia, Bohol province have agreed for a post-lenten assault to Mount Apo via Sibulan Trail, Sta. Cruz. The trail jumpstarted at Cabarisan tunnel, then had our sidetrip to Tudaya Falls. As usual, MCTCA head honcho Gabo spearheaded the expedition along with the ever-vigorous LOGSAC mountaineers. Our guests were all women, except for one who is woman-inclined (hehehe)...The trek lasted for four days which was interrupted by slides, rains, laughters and tears. One note of advice, post-lenten climb is still the best time to trek.

LOGSAC all set for Mount Apo Lenten Monitoring

As usual, LOSGAC will have a lenten date at the foot of Mount Apo on April 7-12, 2009; joining some members of environmental crusaders such as the DENR, Local Government Units, Armed Forces of the Philippines and some volunteers having cause of protecting the environment.

After this event, the team will depart from Colan base camp to the summit along with some guests from Visayas.

LOGSAC would just like to inform all mountaineers of the Mountaineering Code of Ethics:

Happy lenten climbing fellow mountaineers.
